Why does Niolu exist?

We are in favor of defending and expanding the traditions, artistic works and activities in the Corsican language and of the island of Corsica.

Why the name Niolu?

It is the name of the valley where Mount Cintu, the highest mountain in Corsica, is located. This place was razed to the ground in the 16th century by the Genoese. The name of our homeland was chosen to emphasize the culture of permanent struggle in defense of our land and customs.
